Board of Advisors

Dr. Mohammed Hashim Kamali

Dr. Mohammed Hashim Kamali, a leading authority on Islamic Jurisprudence, is Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence at International Islamic University Malaysia. His book, Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, a voluminous encyclopedia, is used at various Universities across the world as the basic textbook for this subject in English. He is also one of the first scholars who has written exhaustively on Islamic Financial Derivatives. Currently he is involved in completing his research on Islamic law and civil liberties.

Dr. Ahamed Kameel Mydin Meera

Dr. Ahamed Kameel Mydin Meera, an eminent teacher, trainer & consultant holds a Ph.D degree in Finance from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, U.S.A. His areas of interest and expertise include Financial Markets, Investment Analysis, Macro-Economics, Economics of Social Issues and Quantitative Methods. He is the author of the book "The Islamic Gold Dinar" published by PELANDUK Publications recently. Currently he is the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia.

Matloob Ahmed Khan

Matloob Ahmed Khan is a seasoned banker with extensive experience in international corporate finance. After completing his MBA , Mr. Khan spent nearly 20 years with Citibank. The last half of his tenure with Citibank saw Mr. Khan working as part of the international staff of the bank , with responsibility for a variety of countries, primarily in the Middle East. During part of this time, he served as Vice President and Country Head of Citibank operations in Yemen and Qatar.

Mr. Khan left Citibank in 1987 for a career in Islamic banking. He spent two years at Qatar National Bank, Doha, Qatar, as Assistant General Manager in charge of the International Division and Advisor to the General Manager. He then joined Kuwait Finance House (KFH) as a Senior Manager in the International and Investment Division. With the exception of one year spent with Al Baraka Investment Bank in London, Mr. Khan continued working at KFH International Financing operations until 1999. He then joined Gulf Investment House (GIH) with responsibilities for Structured Corporate Finance and Corporate advisory services. Mr. Khan currently serves ILIC as a Senior Vice President of International Leasing and Investment Company, Kuwait, with responsibilities for Financial Structuring and Risk Management in the Business Development Group.
